Previous submission to translate DFF in your language has been greatly appreciated. Today, DFF community needs you for an update ; there is about 100 new translatable strings, so I am unable to translate it alone. 1.2.0 version introduces a new heavy requested feature : the search engine. From a translation point of view, a dedicated graphical widget with new translatable strings has been added. A branch named release/1.2 exists on the repository. For an update of an existing language I invite you to checkout this release/1.2 branch, there is an example for German language in [1]. For a full translation you can fetch latest reference file from release/1.2 branch [2]. Finally, the translation how-to is available on [3]. Christophe. [1] On linux clone git repository with: $ git clone git://git.digital-forensic.org/dff.git And fetch and checkout release/1.2 branch: $ cd dff&& git checkout -b release/1.2 origin/release/1.2 Now you can use linguist: $ linguist ui/gui/i18n/Dff_de.ts [2] Latest translation reference file is Dff_en.ts , available on the tracker: http://tracker.digital-forensic.org/projects/dff/repository/raw/ui/gui/i18n/Dff_en.ts?rev=release%2F1.2 [3] Translation how-to http://wiki.digital-forensic.org/index.php/Translate_DFF -- Christophe Malinge DFF, Core developer, System administrator ArxSys SAS, Directeur des syst?mes d'information T?l: +33 1 46 36 25 22 Fax: +33 9 55 52 90 57 From cma at arxsys.fr Tue Sep 20 13:42:17 2011 From: cma at arxsys.fr (Christophe Malinge) Date: Tue, 20 Sep 2011 13:42:17 +0200 Subject: [dff-devel] Translation updates for DFF 1.2.0 Message-ID: <4E787C19.303@arxsys.fr> Dear contributors, I am really sorry to disturb you again. Two things to mention: 1. there's a typo with "dictionnary" => it should be "dictionary" (@ BuildSearchClause, DictListEdit, SearchDict) 2. "an attributes" @ SelectAttr => I guess it's "an attribute" Once you update the original strings (if those changes are indeed right) you should update the translation files (*.ts) since there will be a new key (the new string) and move the translation from the deprecated string. Any doubt please let me know. Thanks! On Tue, Sep 20, 2011 at 8:42 AM, Christophe Malinge wrote: > Dear contributors, I am really sorry to disturb you again. Indeed, there are two typos concerning "dictionnary" and "an attributes". Currently, Christophe is working on this part of the GUI to enhance user experience and take into account your feedback. We are going to provide a Release Candidate version tomorrow to let people test it during the week-end and the final (public) release is scheduled on Monday. Thanks.
